We are excited to announce the launch of our new connector that integrates Sarus with Databricks. With this new integration, data administrators can effortlessly make any datasets stored on Databricks available for analytics and AI with full security thanks to Sarus. Their existing tech stack is preserved while enhancing security measures.
How does it work?
Firstly, the data administrator creates a data connection to his Databricks database from the Sarus Administration Interface. This will allow the application to send queries to the tables stored in the database.
Then, the administrator can connect any table or set of tables included in the Databricks database. They choose a privacy policy to define how analysts can query the new dataset. In just a few minutes, the dataset is ready for use! Analysts with the proper privacy policy can then leverage Python, SQL or their preferred BI tool to dive into the data and extract valuable insights. They can of course use a Databricks notebook to do so! It’s worth noting that all SQL queries are executed directly on the Databricks engine, harnessing its full power and capabilities.
This new connection significantly broadens the range of possibilities for secure handling of sensitive data.
